Note générale :	In hydrology it is sometimes required to determine the correlation between rainfall amounts measured in gages at various interstation distances. Until now functions that describe the relationship netween interstation correlation and interaction distance, the so-called correlation functions, are determined empirically from the diagram of estimated correlation coefficients plotted vs. The corresponding interstation distances. In this paper a method is developed to analytically determine the correlation function for a given storm model. Rainfall interstation correlation functions can be derived analytically on the basis of a storm model function. The interstation correlation is given then as a function of the interstation distance (D). Gaged area and strom fassing area need to be defined throughly to obtain homogenity with respect to statistical parameters.
